Amalia Herman

Amalia Herman joined Covenant House Florida in August 2022 as the Director of Human Resources bringing over 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management. In her role, Amalia leads strategic HR initiatives that support the organization’s mission to serve youth experiencing homelessness, with a focus on talent development, employee engagement, and organizational culture.

Amalia is an active member of her local Human Resources Association and earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University, which has shaped her service-oriented approach to human resources.

What drives Amalia is a passion for empowering individuals and building environments where people can thrive. Since joining Covenant House Florida, she has played a key role in enhancing HR operations and aligning people strategies with the organization’s long-term goals.
