UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IN ORLANDO
For over 20 years, Covenant House Florida in Orlando has been providing shelter and supportive services to Central Florida’s most vulnerable homeless. These youth typically come from rough circumstances, with little support, and often headed toward disaster. Last year, CHF provided assistance to over 450 youth and children in Central Florida. Support from grants and the general community have allowed us to serve these youth no matter what their past may be.
Abriceana was a teen mother of two, and lived with her own mother. Her home situation became rocky and Abriceana had to leave with her two boys. That is when she heard about Covenant House Florida in Orlando.
She was accepted without question into the crisis shelter with her twin boys. She received stable case management, and used the GED program as support for her college enrollment process. Since becoming a CHF youth, Abriceana was able to pay off all of her debts and attend college at Valencia, where she received her CNA. She currently lives in an apartment with her kids, which she can now pay for on her own.
