Covenant House Florida in Orlando strives to meet the needs of homeless youth throughout Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties.
Street Outreach in Central Florida is conducted by a two-person team canvassing the tri-county area in a clearly marked van offering assistance to any youth between the ages of 18 to 21. Street Outreach Case Managers offer food, blankets, hygiene supplies, basic first aid, crisis counseling, information about agency services, and bus tickets to local resources. If requested by the youth, the team will provide transportation to Covenant House Florida’s Crisis Shelter located at 5931 East Colonial Drive in Orlando.
In an effort to reach out to underserved areas, the Street Outreach Team along with other staff provides food, clothing, employment assistance, and GED Education at the 1st United Methodist Church in St. Cloud on Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 5:30.
