Outreach Supervisor
Purpose of the Position:
This position
supervises an outreach effort which helps street youth utilize
appropriate community services aimed toward getting them off the
street. This individual will schedule and coordinate the Outreach
staff and volunteer work to ensure that areas most frequented by
street youth are served by the Outreach staff during the most
opportune time. It is also responsible for establishing good rapport
with business persons and law enforcement working in the target
population.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct
supervision and evaluation of Street Outreach Case Managers to
ensure high quality performance, training, and the provision of
services to youth in accordance with the Covenant House Mission
Statement and Philosophy. Manage Outreach functions to ensure
that staff and volunteers provide professional and meaningful
contacts with street youth which foster their willingness to
accept needed services. Establish and maintain current referral
sources and contacts appropriate for providing needed services
for street youth. Gather and record meaningful data on trends
and activities related to street youth to ensure pertinent
monthly reporting, future relevant planning, and in accordance
to grant requirements. Participate in special projects which
enhance and expand the street outreach endeavor, as assigned.
Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, prior supervisory
experience, and one year experience working with troubled
youths. The ability to work independently and to work with
difficult adolescents is essential. Familiarity with the
central Florida social service systems preferred. A valid
Florida state driver’s license with good driving record is
required.
Salary/Benefits:
This position is full time and will earn $14.76 per hour, with
annual salary adjustments. Benefits currently include 100% of
employee health insurance premiums, 50% towards the cost of
dependent health premiums, life and dental insurance, 403(b)
savings and pension benefits, with generous time off including
vacation, holiday, personal, and sick leave. Employees who have
been with the agency for 12 months may qualify for up to $3000
per year towards tuition reimbursement.
Work Schedule:
Thursdays 12-8pm, Fridays & Saturdays 3-11pm, Sundays 1-9pm, Mondays
12-8pm. Tuesdays & Wednesdays - off. Work schedule requires
flexibility to attend community events.

Per Diem Case Management
Purpose of the Position:
On-Call case management opportunities are available at our
residential crisis shelter in Orlando. $10.50/hour.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required. Experience with adolescents
preferred, excellent writing and communication skills, Computer
literacy, and excellent organizational skills.
Work Schedule:
Day shifts are 8-4, evening shifts are 3-11, and overnight
shifts are 10:30-8:30.
